FNB Stadium in Johannesburg hosted Global Citizen South Africa, which celebrated Nelson Mandela’s life and legacy for his 100th birthday. Beyonce and Jay-Z headlined the festival in their first ever performance in South Africa. Chris Martin, Ed Sheeran, Femi Kuti, Eddie Vedder, Naomi Campbell, Tiwa Savage, Tyler Perry, Trevor Noah and Oprah Winfrey were also part of the 10+ hour show that was broadcasted and streamed live throughout the African continent as well as Europe.
